1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using PAKT ("the App") and the getpaktapp.com website, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. PAKT is operated by Convergence Software Studio LTD. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account and commit financial stakes on this platform.

2. Financial Staking and Penalties

PAKT allows users to commit financial "stakes" to their goals. By creating a staked goal, you explicitly authorize PAKT to charge your provided payment method or deduct from your account balance.

• Forfeiture: If you fail to provide verified proof of work by the agreed-upon deadline, you forfeit your stake. Forfeited stakes are directed to a designated charity or the platform as outlined in the specific goal terms, and are not distributed to other users.
• Verification: Proof of work is verified by other users in your pod or by platform algorithms. By participating, you agree to abide by the majority consensus or algorithmic outcome without dispute.
• No Refunds: All financial stakes, once committed, are non-refundable except in cases of proven technical failure on the platform's end.

3. Third-Party Payment Processing

PAKT uses third-party payment processors (including but not limited to Flutterwave) to handle all financial transactions. We do not directly store your credit card or bank account information. By using the staking features, you agree to be bound by the applicable terms of service of our payment processing partners.

4. Withdrawals, KYC, and AML

If you accumulate funds in your PAKT wallet (e.g., from successfully completing goals and receiving your returned stake), you may request a withdrawal. We reserve the right to:

• Enforce a minimum withdrawal threshold.
• Require identity verification (Know Your Customer / KYC) to comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations before releasing any funds.
• Delay or cancel withdrawals if fraudulent activity is suspected.

5. Not a Financial Institution

PAKT is a social accountability software platform. We are not a bank, escrow service, investment platform, or financial advisor. Stakes are meant as a motivational tool, not an investment. You should never stake money you cannot afford to lose.

6. Assumption of Risk and Liability

You are solely responsible for the goals you set. If you set a physical or fitness goal, you agree that PAKT is not liable for any injury, health complications, or damages that occur while attempting to complete your goal or secure your stake.

7. Termination and Account Bans

Falsifying proof of work, colluding with pod members to cheat the system, or initiating fraudulent chargebacks will result in an immediate, permanent ban and the forfeiture of any remaining wallet balance.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
